A human who has nothing but himself, standing for his nation, leading his nation. Dreaming larger than himself, offering noting but himself.
Being a UP student, we are honed to be this man. What I realized best in this course is that being a UP student is not just privilege but rather a challenge that we will carry until our great great grandchildren carry our names. I always had the passion in what I do. I thought being the best of I can be for my family is enough for me to boast that Hey! I am a UP student. But then again, after learning the things I learned from this course that I would never learn without taking this course or may be without being a UP student (such as Why Muslims are like the way we are, the story behind labor migration, social responsibility and among others), I was sadden by the fact that I have only encountered these things in my last year here. I thought I was politically aware. But there are more than just the facts, the trivia, the story in my memory. These memories now have feelings, consciousness, and struggle. I cannot just be aware. I could not juts be informed about what, when, where, or how. I should always ask what can I do. What can I do. What can I do now.
Now, I have a dream more than myself. I have a dream to become more proactive in our society. It is far more than education that will take me here, its conscience for the society, the Philippine society.
